Ciné-Club: Stand By Me

Summer 1985. Gordie Lachance, a writer, reminisces the events that changed his life back in 1959, when he took the road with his best pals to find a dead man's body.

Sweet, sad and strong, Stand By Me is our second film in this month's 80s-summer-coming-of-age series. Based on a story by Stephen King and directed by Rob Reiner (This is Spinal Tap, Misery, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally), it is an endearing tale of friendship that outlasts time and hardship.

If I could only have one food to eat for the rest of my life? That's easy. Pez. Cherry Pez flavor. No question about it.
